Bungalow Bob’s Pet Designs is dedicated to providing
Arts and Crafts inspired pet furniture to coordinate
with your decor and add warmth to your home. We feel
your pet deserves the same style and quality Mission
furniture you appreciate. Inspired by the Arts & Crafts
Movement, our products are handcrafted out of the finest
quartersawn white oak in the true craftsman tradition.
Our mission is to offer unique and enduring products both
you and your pet treasure.

Our Technique…
Heavily inspired by Stickley®, Roycroft®, and Frank
Lloyd Wright®, our craftspeople meticulously employ the
same tried and true methods of joinery with a profound
attention to detail. All products are made from premium
quartersawn white oak milled in the Midwest. We hand
select wood, specifically looking for boards that
highlight the natural features and beauty of quartersawn
white oak. Classic joinery methods such as mortise and
tenon in addition to oak pins are used extensively for
strength and durability.
Our craftsmanship and
joinery methods are demonstrated in the through-tenon of
the Mission Stairs:
We utilize the classic ammonia fuming technique to
darken the oak and highlight its natural medullary
rays (as shown in the Mission Stair picture above). Our finishing techniques provide a durable finish
that stands up to the demands of your pet and
compliments your Mission furniture. Due to the many
variables in our hand finishing process and the nature
of the wood itself, finishes can vary slightly in color
from piece to piece.
